Founded in early 2023, Garçons à marier is made up of three experienced musicians with diverse backgrounds who came together through their shared passion for traditional music and song. The group quickly garnered attention from broadcasters and performed at several renowned events, including the World Acadian Congress in Nova Scotia, the Seigneuriales de Vaudreuil-Dorion, and the Festival Mémoire et Racines. In December 2024, Garçons à marier released their debut album, "La dot," which celebrates the repertoire of their region, Lanaudière.


Jean Desrochers (guitar, banjo, vocals) Former artistic director of the Festival Mémoire et Racines (2018-2024), director of CRAPO de Lanaudière, initiator of the jam trad at L'Albion, and co-founder of the groups Commando Trad, Gadji-Gadjo, Barbo, l'Orchestre Pic-Bois and Rivière Rouge;

Philippe Jetté (vocals, accordion, foot percussion, jaw harp) An artist rooted in his community, he is also co-founder of the Belzébuth and Duo Jetté-Simard groups, and a key player in the collection of traditional repertoires;

Gabriel Girouard (violin, vocals) is a musicologist and educator with nearly 30 years of musical experience. He is a member of groups such as Baqqhus and Mélisande, among others. Passionate and versatile, he is recognized for his mastery of traditional Quebec violin.
