Garçons à marier is a festive traditional music power trio from Lanaudière, an essential stronghold of Quebec trad. Formed in 2023, the group brings together three seasoned musicians — Philippe Jetté (vocals, accordion, foot percussion, jaw harp), Gabriel Girouard (violin, vocals) and Jean Desrochers (guitar, banjo, vocals) — whose varied backgrounds converge around a common passion: to promote traditional music and song.

Rooted in the authentic Lanaudière, Quebec, and Acadian traditions, Garçons à marier offers modern, energetic, and impactful arrangements. The trio quickly gained the attention of broadcasters and performed at several major events, including the World Acadian Congress in Nova Scotia, the Seigneuriales de Vaudreuil-Dorion, and the Festival Mémoire et Racines.

In December 2024, Garçons à marier launched their very first album, La dot, a vibrant tribute to the repertoire of their region, Lanaudière, and the traditions that animate it.

Jean Desrochers (guitar, banjo, vocals) Former artistic director of the Festival Mémoire et Racines (2018-2024), director of CRAPO de Lanaudière, initiator of the jam trad at L'Albion, and co-founder of the groups Commando Trad, Gadji-Gadjo, Barbo, l'Orchestre Pic-Bois and Rivière Rouge;

Philippe Jetté (vocals, accordion, foot percussion, jaw harp) An artist rooted in his community, he is also co-founder of the Belzébuth and Duo Jetté-Simard groups, and a key player in the collection of traditional repertoires;

Gabriel Girouard (violin, vocals) is a musicologist and educator with nearly 30 years of musical experience. He is a member of groups such as Baqqhus and Mélisande, among others. Passionate and versatile, he is recognized for his mastery of traditional Quebec violin.
